Our Services

Mould Removal

We begin every mould removal job with a comprehensive property inspection to identify potential causes of mould growth and recommend any necessary remedial works. All findings are documented and communicated clearly to the relevant housing association or property manager.

Once we receive approval to proceed, our trained operatives carry out a thorough three-stage mould treatment on all affected areas. Before and after photographs are taken and included in a detailed inspection report, ensuring full transparency and peace of mind.

Corksol

Corksol is a sustainable, multi-functional building coating made from a natural blend of cork granules and resins. This innovative coating offers numerous technical benefits, including thermal insulation, fire resistance, weather resistance, vapour permeability, elasticity, and long-term durability. At The Mould Company, we primarily apply Corksol to outhouses, external walls, and other cold-prone areas to reduce the risk of cold bridging—a common cause of internal mould growth. For internal applications we also priovide a layer of plaster to ensure a professional smooth finish.

By improving insulation and regulating surface temperature, Corksol helps create healthier indoor environments while enhancing the external appearance and performance of your property.

Gutter Cleaning

Blocked gutters can cause rainwater to overflow, leading to damp external walls. Over time, this moisture can penetrate the property, increasing the risk of internal mould growth due to cold, damp surfaces and potential water ingress. Regular gutter cleaning helps protect the integrity of your property and prevents moisture-related issues from developing.

Our gutter cleaning service is carried out using specialist equipment, including extendable poles reaching up to 6 metres—allowing us to access a wide range of buildings safely and efficiently. Each clean is supported by a high-resolution inspection camera, enabling us to capture before and after images of blockages and cleared gutters, which are included in our post-service report.

Plastering

During our mould treatment process, issues with the underlying plaster can sometimes become apparent—especially after wallpaper or damaged materials have been removed. To streamline the repair process and minimise disruption for tenants, we have an in-house plastering team ready to carry out any necessary works on the spot.

This means there’s no need to refer the issue back to the housing association or schedule a separate job with another contractor. Our team can complete the plastering promptly and professionally, helping to keep the project moving efficiently while ensuring the property is fully restored and ready for decoration.

Loft Insulation

We offer a full range of loft insulation services, including relaying, replacing, or topping up existing insulation. Inadequate loft insulation can lead to cold spots within a property, significantly increasing the risk of condensation and mould growth.

As part of our inspection process, we use a heat detection camera to identify cold areas and potential insulation issues. Where accessible, we also carry out a physical inspection of the loft to confirm the findings and provide clear recommendations.

By improving insulation, we help to regulate internal temperatures, reduce the likelihood of mould growth, and enhance overall energy efficiency within the property.
