We’re pleased to introduce the latest addition to our services at The Mould Company...
ISO-THERM internal insulation 🎉
ISO-THERM is an ultra-thin insulation system designed to improve the thermal performance of cold internal walls. By helping walls retain warmth, it can reduce the conditions that allow condensation and surface mould to develop.
At approximately 4mm thick before finishing, ISO-THERM offers an effective alternative to traditional, bulkier insulation systems—making it particularly suitable for properties where space and disruption need to be kept to a minimum.
Key benefits include:
✔️ Warmer internal wall surfaces
✔️ Improved energy efficiency
✔️Helps reduce condensation and surface mould
✔️Vapour-permeable and waterproof
✔️Can be fitted around window reveals, sockets and other fixtures
✔️ Approximately 10mm overall finished depth once plastered
✔️Suitable for residential and commercial properties
This new service allows us to continue going beyond simply treating visible mould, by addressing one of its potential root causes: cold internal wall surfaces that encourage condensation and allow mould to return.

👏 A little appreciation for our operatives…
We’ve recently been carrying out quality checks across our working areas, and we’ve been really impressed with what we’ve seen.
From neat finishes and well-protected working areas to positive comments from tenants - the standard of work being delivered reflects the care our teams put into every property.
Working inside someone’s home requires more than technical ability.
It also means being respectful, communicating clearly and leaving the property clean and tidy—and our teams continue to demonstrate exactly that.
A huge well done to everyone involved. Keep up the fantastic work!

🥇 WE'VE GOT GOLD! 🥇
We're incredibly proud to announce that The Mould Company has officially achieved Constructionline Gold Accreditation!
This is a significant milestone for our business and reflects the hard work that's gone into building robust systems, maintaining the highest standards and continually improving everything we do.
Constructionline Gold isn't simply an application—it's a rigorous assessment that demonstrates our commitment to:
✅ Health & Safety
✅ Quality Management
✅ Environmental Responsibility
✅ Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
✅ Financial Stability
✅ Supply Chain Compliance
✅ Corporate Governance
For our clients, it provides the reassurance that they're working with a contractor who has been independently verified and operates to recognised industry standards.
For us, it's another step forward as we continue to grow across the UK, delivering mould remediation, insulation and property improvement works for local authorities, housing associations, letting agents and commercial clients.
A huge thank you to everyone on our team whose hard work and dedication have made this possible. Achievements like this don't happen overnight—they're built through consistently doing things the right way.
Gold achieved... what's next? 🚀
When people think of us, they often think of mould removal - but treating mould is only one part of the solution...
At The Mould Company, our approach is to identify why mould is occurring and make the improvements needed to help prevent it from returning.
Simply cleaning the visible mould without addressing the underlying cause is rarely a long-term solution.
Our teams carry out a wide range of remedial and energy efficiency works, including:
✔️ Mould treatment & remediation
✔️ Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) & extractor fan installation
✔️ Corksol SprayCork wall insulation
✔️ Iso-Therm internal wall insulation
✔️ Sempafloor insulation
✔️ Loft insulation
✔️ Damp proofing
✔️ Plastering & reinstatement works
✔️ Gutter cleaning & repairs
✔️ Roof cleaning
✔️ Pressure washing & external cleaning
✔️ Medical Grade Disinfectant for bacterial, viral and mould spore reduction
✔️ Air Quality Testing
And much more.
Every property is different. That's why our inspections focus on finding the root cause—whether it's inadequate ventilation, thermal bridging, poor insulation or penetrating damp —and recommending the most appropriate solution.
Our aim isn't just to remove mould for today. It's to improve the building itself, creating healthier, warmer and more sustainable homes for the people living in them.
Prevention will always be more effective than repeatedly treating the symptoms.
If you're a housing provider, landlord or commercial property owner looking for a long-term approach to damp, mould and building performance, we'd be happy to discuss how we can help!

Working Together With...
We've been a little quieter online recently, but that doesn't mean things haven't been happening behind the scenes.
Whilst we may not shout about every milestone, we've been working hard to continue building on the foundations we've laid over the last few years.
Recently, we've been delighted to secure several significant contract wins, including being awarded the damp and mould contract for Mansfield District Council, where we were ranked first out of all applicants during the tender process.
We've also expanded our presence in the East Midlands by securing a new partnership with Rykneld Homes, allowing us to support even more residents with damp and mould issues across the region.
Alongside this, we've been working with the UK's largest letting agency, supporting a nationwide property portfolio of more than 32,000 homes.
For a company that started with a simple goal of delivering quality work and putting customers first, moments like these are a reminder that consistent effort, good people, and doing the right thing really do make a difference.
We're incredibly grateful to our clients, partners, and team members who continue to trust us.
As we continue to grow year on year, our focus remains exactly the same: delivering a high-quality service and making homes healthier places to live.
Here's to the next chapter!

Medical Grade Disinfectant - Airborne Fogging Treatment
🤢 Had a sickness bug spread through your workplace?
What starts with one person off sick can quickly become multiple absences, reduced productivity, and disruption to your business.
Many bacteria and viruses can survive on surfaces for hours—or even days—allowing them to spread long after the initial symptoms have passed.
That's why we offer professional medical grade disinfectant services.
Our fogging treatment disperses a specialist disinfectant throughout the affected area, helping to reduce harmful bacteria and viruses on surfaces and within hard-to-reach spaces.
A simple but effective way to help create a cleaner, healthier working environment for your team.

Female Operatives In All Areas
Not every tenant feels comfortable opening their door to a male operative — and that's something our industry should recognise.
At The Mould Company, we're proud to have female operatives working across all areas of our business, from inspections right through to treatment and remedial works.
For many people, allowing a contractor into their home is routine.
For others, due to personal experiences, cultural reasons, vulnerabilities, or simply personal preference, having a male operative attend their property can feel uncomfortable.
By maintaining a diverse workforce, we're able to offer greater flexibility and reassurance where needed, helping tenants feel safe, respected, and at ease in their own homes.
Creating equal opportunities within our workforce doesn't just benefit our employees—it helps us deliver a more inclusive and tenant-focused service for everyone.
Because every tenant deserves to feel comfortable, respected, and supported in their own home. 💙

Cold Outhouses...
Cold outhouses and uninsulated walls are often overlooked when tackling damp and mould — but cold surfaces create cold bridging and can contribute significantly to condensation issues throughout a property.
Using Corksol thermal insulation coating, we’re able to thermally insulate cold walls, helping to reduce condensation risk, improve wall surface temperatures, and support long-term mould prevention — all while maintaining a clean, seamless finish that you’d barely notice once completed.

Another huge benefit is how thin the application is. Traditional thermal board or internal wall insulation systems are typically around 50–60mm thick, reducing already limited space within smaller areas such as outhouses. In comparison, a full Corksol application including plaster finish is only approximately 8mm thin.
✔ Helps reduce condensation risk
✔ Supports long-term mould prevention
✔ Reduces cold bridging
✔ Improves energy efficiency
✔ Helps create warmer, healthier homes
✔ Carbon Positive

Even better, Corksol is made using one of the world’s most sustainable natural materials, supporting environmentally conscious housing improvements alongside effective mould prevention solutions.
A solution benefiting both housing associations and tenants alike.

Need Further Proof Our Treatmemt Works?
The image below is from a recent return inspection. The mould you can see has re-grown due to ongoing water ingress on the external wall (which the housing provider is addressing).
What’s important?
Our original treatment, completed back in November, remains completely unaffected. The boundary between old and new growth is crystal clear.
This is exactly why addressing the cause of mould matters just as much as treating it — and why using the right treatment makes all the difference.
Starting the year with some amazing before and after photos from our team!
You wouldn't believe it was the same room!
This was completed using our signature 3 stage mould treatment process and finished to our usual exceptionally high standard

TMC and Andy's Man Club
On Tuesday 30th September we held a business wide training day.
Whilst the majority of the day was spent informing our staff of the upcoming changes to timescales as part of Awaabs Law and the processes we have put in place as a business to work with these, another very important part of the day was the discussion with #ANDYSMANCLUB
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 54 and as a business with a large male employee base we want to make sure our staff know who and where they can turn to if they ever need support.
The lead up to Christmas can be a trying time for everyone for a number of reasons and its important to us that our staff, male or female, know we will always endeavour to help where we can!
#ANDYSMANCLUB meet every Monday at 7pm (excluding bank holidays) and offer a free non-judgemental space to talk about your worries or simply listen and know you're not alone.
you can find your local group here - https://lnkd.in/egKbfAui

Team Training Update – HHSRS Certification Achieved
We’re pleased to share that nine members of The Mould Company team, including all of our property inspectors, successfully completed the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) course this week.
The HHSRS is a key part of the government’s approach to assessing housing conditions, with a focus on identifying and addressing potential health and safety hazards in residential properties. This training ensures our team is fully equipped to recognise and report on the 29 hazards outlined in the system, including those most commonly associated with damp and mould.
By completing this course, our team is now even better prepared to:
- Carry out thorough, compliant property inspections
- Identify and report Category 1 & 2 hazards
- Support councils and housing associations in meeting their legal obligations
- Contribute to safer, healthier homes for tenants
At The Mould Company, we remain committed to professional development and continuous improvement, ensuring we offer the highest possible standards of service and compliance support.
Well done to the team on this important achievement!
Awaabs Law
Preparing for Awaab's law - Our Support for Housing Associations and Councils
As you’ll be aware, Awaab’s Law is coming into effect from October 2025, introducing strict timeframes for addressing serious hazards such as damp and mould in social housing. Landlords will be legally required to investigate and begin resolving these issues within 24 hours in emergency cases.
At The Mould Company, we are fully prepared to support our housing partners in meeting these new legal obligations and ensuring tenant safety. To help you respond quickly and efficiently, we’ve implemented the following:
✅ Priority Contact Channels – We now have a dedicated priority email address and phone number for urgent cases requiring action within 24 hours.
✅ Area-Based Inspectors – Our inspectors are assigned to specific regions, enabling us to attend properties the next working day to carry out thorough inspections.
✅ Detailed Inspection Reporting – We continue to provide clear, detailed reports to councils and housing associations, and have now introduced a tenant-friendly version to leave behind after every visit—ensuring transparency and peace of mind.
✅ Collaborative Working – We are actively working with our existing contracts to streamline communication, prioritise urgent cases, and deliver the level of service and reliability we are known for.
We understand how vital it is to act quickly and thoroughly when tenants' health and safety is at stake.
Our team is ready to support you through these regulatory changes and help maintain compliant, safe, and healthy homes.
For more information or to register for our priority service, please get in touch with your account manager or contact us directly.
